All CVRPs and CCVEs practicing within Canada are members of the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals (College). Only members of the College are allowed to refer to themselves with these credentials. A valid certificate of registration from the College is required for anyone using these designations and the public registry lists all valid certificates.

All CVRPs and CCVEs have:

• Met or exceeded the education and experience requirements of the College

• Successfully completed the Board Certified Examination demonstrating the standardized body of knowledge related to the designation held

• Provided a valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check (VSPC)

• Provided proof of appropriate Professional Liability Insurance coverage

• Committed to maintaining up to date VSPC and Professional Liability Insurance records with the College

• Committed to remaining current in their professional development through providing proof of 40 hours of approved professional development activity every two year.

• Have paid all fees associated with maintaining this registration

Registration Classes:

There are two main certifications:
1) Canadian Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals (CVRPs)

2) Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluators (CCVEs), which is a specialty certification

Within the two main certifications, there are five distinctions:

One for the majority of practicing registrants:

• Professional: CVRP or CCVE

Two for demonstration of distinction in practice:

• Fellow: CVRP(F) or CCVE(F)

• Diplomate: CVRP(D) or CCVE(D)

Two for Registrants committed to time defined achievement of a Professional designation

• Intern CVRP(I) or CCVE(I)

• Provisional Registrant: CVRP(P) or CCVE(P)

Once the CCVE Cohort #2 grandfathering period ends April 30th, 2017, registrants with the College are certified first as CVRP and then can apply for the CCVE specialty:
